Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 features numerous activities
PANO - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan chaired a conference in Hanoi on May 28 to approve the plan for the defense-economic booths at the upcoming Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024.
The expo is part of the activities to mark the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the whole People's Defense Festive Day. One of the highlights of the expo will be an exhibition, themed “Achievements in building the people’s armed forces and the whole-people national defense.”

The exhibition will be divided into three sections. The first section will introduce Vietnam, its culture, people, and the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army. The second section will highlight technology and digital transformation achievements of military agencies, units, and enterprises, while the last one will focus on connecting businesses and popularizing defense-economic products, national brand products, culture, tourism, and specialties from different regions.
Having heard reports, the deputy chief of the General Staff praised agencies and units for their active preparation and building of plan on organizing the exhibition and requested them to gather feedback from delegates to perfect the plan before submitting it to the Minister of National Defense for approval.

Gen. Tan also urged agencies and units to collaborate with press agencies to gather materials and images for the exhibition; build database of digitalized images of artifacts, models, and products from military enterprises for online display. He also emphasized the need of enhancing dissemination of the exhibition through various media channels and the online space.
The Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 organized by the Ministry of National Defense is slated for December 19 to 22. The event will feature various activities such as product displays and demonstrations and presentations of in-depth technologies to update participants information and offer solutions to challenges in operating specialized combat equipment and vehicles. Cultural activities will also be organized to popularize the image of Vietnam, its people, and military to domestic and international visitors
