INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

“International Cooperation in Advancing Science, Technology and Innovation

for Peace and Sustainable Development”

The Organising Committee has the honour to invite scientists, experts, managers, representatives of agencies, organisations and enterprises, and international partners to submit papers to the International Scientific Conference held as part of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2026.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

The International Scientific Conference on the theme “International Cooperation in Advancing Science, Technology and Innovation for Peace and Sustainable Development” is a forum for academic exchange and cooperation among scientists, experts, government agencies, research institutions, enterprises, and Vietnamese and international partners. The Conference also aims to help other countries and international organisations gain a clearer understanding of the orientations, tasks and solutions set out in Vietnam’s Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation Development. The Organising Committee encourages papers of high scientific and practical value that clearly present the methodology, results, applicability and proposals for cooperation.

II. CONFERENCE TOPICS

1. Energy Security Technologies

Sharing experience, solutions and models of international cooperation in the research, development and application of technologies that ensure energy security for sustainable development and for national defence and security; development of renewable, clean and new energy; energy storage and smart energy management technologies; smart grid technologies; energy-saving and energy-efficiency technologies; and the application of science and technology to ensuring energy security.

2. Semiconductor Chip, Robotics, Automation and Aerospace Technologies

Sharing development trends, international experience and cooperation opportunities in the research, design, fabrication, packaging and testing of integrated circuits and semiconductor chips; development of high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry; research, development and application of robotics, automation and aerospace technologies for smart manufacturing, digital transformation, socio-economic development, and national defence and security; and promotion of research cooperation, technology transfer and the building of innovation ecosystems in high-tech and strategic technology fields.

3. Biotechnology and Environmental Technology; Marine, Ocean and Subsurface Technologies; Technologies for Unexploded Ordnance Clearance and Post-War Toxic Chemical Remediation

Sharing achievements, experience and directions for international cooperation in biotechnology, advanced biomedicine, environmental technology, and marine, ocean and subsurface technologies; and applying science and technology to healthcare, military medicine, disease prevention and control, environmental protection, natural resource management, survey, exploration, exploitation and sustainable use of marine, ocean and subsurface resources, response to climate change and sea-level rise, and sustainable development.

Sharing experience and advanced technological solutions for the survey, detection, identification and clearance of post-war unexploded ordnance; toxic chemical remediation; overcoming the consequences of war; and environmental restoration; and the application of artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, sensor technologies and digital technologies to more effectively overcome the consequences of war, ensure community safety and support sustainable development.

4. Digital Technologies and Next-Generation Mobile Network Technologies

Sharing experience and solutions in the research, development and application of strategic digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, digital data, digital twins, cloud computing, edge computing, the Internet of Things, blockchain, cybersecurity and quantum technology; research, development and application of next-generation mobile network technologies and advanced information and communications infrastructure for digital transformation and smart connectivity; promotion of digital transformation; and applying digital technologies to management and administration, in responding to non-traditional security challenges, in United Nations peacekeeping operations and in sustainable development.

5. New Materials Technology, Mineral Processing and Deep Rare Earth Processing

Sharing research results, applications and international cooperation in the development of advanced materials, functional materials, smart materials and materials for high-tech industries; and the application of new materials in industry, energy, aerospace and national defence. Sharing experience and technologies in mining, mineral beneficiation and processing, and the deep processing of rare earths for the production of new materials, the semiconductor industry, renewable energy and other high-tech industries; and promotion of technology transfer and the sustainable development of strategic resources.

III. WHO IS INVITED TO SUBMIT

The Organising Committee cordially invites scientists, experts, lecturers, researchers and managers, as well as representatives of government agencies, research institutes, universities, technology enterprises, international organisations, foreign partners and other interested organisations, to submit papers. Papers co-authored by several agencies, organisations or international partners are encouraged, in order to strengthen knowledge exchange and expand opportunities for cooperation.

IV. PAPER GUIDELINES

- Papers should focus on one or more of the Conference topics and show clear novelty, scientific merit, practical relevance or application value.

- Authors are encouraged to present research results, technologies that have been developed or tested, application models, lessons learned, cooperation policies and mechanisms, or proposals for international cooperation programmes.

- Papers must be accurate and original, must not have been published or submitted for consideration elsewhere, and must comply with regulations on confidentiality, copyright and scientific publication, as well as other relevant regulations.

V. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND FORMAT

VI. PAPER RECEIPT AND SELECTION PROCESS

Submissions will be received by the Organising Committee, screened for thematic scope, and reviewed for format, relevance, academic quality and potential contribution to the Conference. Selected papers may be used in the Conference materials, the presentation programme or other suitable forms of publication, as planned by the Organising Committee.

Authors of papers selected for presentation must prepare a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and submit it to the Organising Committee for review at least 15 days before the Conference (by 26 November 2026). Each presentation must not exceed 7 minutes.
