Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence Delegation Attends ADEX-2026

A delegation from Vietnam's Ministry of National Defence, led by Major General Nguyen Hong Son, took part in the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX-2026), held from 30 September to 2 October at the Baku Expo Center in the Azerbaijani capital.

The exhibition drew close to 200 representatives from more than 50 military and security delegations, together with experts from a range of countries. On display across the booths were unmanned vehicles, electro-optical equipment, robotics, digital control systems and a host of AI-powered solutions.

At ADEX-2026, the delegation of Viet Nam's Ministry of National Defence toured the exhibition booths to explore new products and technologies, and held a series of contacts and exchanges with a number of international businesses and partners, including BIMEXTECH and Blackyard MMC of Azerbaijan, Baytar and BMC of Turkiye, and Russia's Rostec. In these talks, the Vietnamese delegation discussed the scope for cooperation in researching, developing and manufacturing military hardware and technical equipment — among them unmanned vehicles, electro-optical devices, armoured personnel carriers, bulletproof vests, robotics, digital control systems and AI applications for defence, as well as next-generation munitions, artillery rounds with extended range, and various technical solutions to improve the efficiency, accuracy and overall performance of equipment.

Attending ADEX-2026 was an occasion to broaden the channels of defence and defence-industry cooperation between Viet Nam and its international partners; to keep abreast of the latest scientific and technological achievements worldwide, share experience and seek fitting avenues for cooperation. All of this contributes to strengthening the country's capacity to research, master and apply new technologies, to expanding defence-industry cooperation, and to building a Viet Nam People's Army that is regular, elite and modern — one able to firmly safeguard the Fatherland in the new situation.
